Rowan the Gnome recently got a makeover!
Rowan is a concrete gnome who has resided in the Penrose Strawbridge garden for many years. The years and weather had not been kind to him, however, and in recent years he has been showing his age.
One of our volunteers from Proud Masonry , saw poor Rowan, and offered to patch him up, filling in the cracks and smoothing out his rough spots
Margie Murphy, the granddaughter of Mrs. Strawbridge's house keeper, Mrs. Murphy, spent a lot of time here at the house helping her grandmother when she was wee and one of her jobs was to keep Rowan looking spiffy. So , once he was patched up, we called on Margie to further restore his luster. (see above)
