Each year HPHA members gather for some holiday fun at our annual Holiday Open House. In the past we have held this event in a local historic home or business such as United Capital Wealth Management's restored farmhouse, the restored Novotny House, the home of Kathy and Steve Schnieder, Cold Spring Farm, the home of Ray Jadczak, and the Nationally Registered Kenderdine Mill.
Our 14th Annual Supper (2017) event was held at the Penrose Strawbridge House, beautifully decorated by Paulette Shackleton and will be held there again in 2018.
Refreshments, wine, appetizers and desserts will be available (bring something to share!). Tours of the house will be provided, only the 1858 kitchen is not finished yet. We will also demo our computerized archives featuring over 300 documents, photos, maps and other objects relating to the history of Horsham. This will be taken over by the Horsham Library this coming winter.
Members, guests and anyone interested in local history is welcome to join us. Its a great way to meet other folks with an interest in older homes and local history.
