Youth Aid Panel

Montgomery County Youth Aid Panel

HPHA, as one of the many benefits we bring to the community, is an approved and long-term participant in the Montgomery County, PA Youth Aid Panel (YAP) program.

If you have service obligations through YAP and would like to complete those obligations with HPHA, please contact us.

If you are assigned to work at HPHA under this program, please review our guidelines below.

General Rules

Some general rules and guidelines for indviduals working with HPHA under the Montgomery County Youth Aid Panel (YAP) or Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) Programs.

  • Check the Directions! GPS doesn't always know where we are - Governor Road is an almost 300 year old gravel road - if it is rainy or muddy or snowy or icy - please use the entrance to Graeme Park from County Line Road
  • Wear clothing appropriate for working outdoors - bring hats, boots, gloves, sunscreen, etc if needed
  • Bring a lunch or snack

Pete Choate Recognized by Montco Youth Aid Panel

Pete Choate, Executive Director of HPHA, has been selected by the Montgomery County Youth Aid Panel members and the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office to receive recognition for outstanding service to the Montgomery County Youth Aid Panel program in February, 2015.

Pete coordinates community service work with HPHA at the Penrose Strawbridge House for youth through the Montgomery County Youth Aid Panel and for adults through the Montgomery County District Attorney's Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) program. (Connor and Tim, shown below building bee hives with Pete, are long time volunteers at the farm, not part of the Youth Aid Program)

Pete has worked with YAP since its creation in 2000 and was co-founder of the Hatboro-Horsham Youth Coalition with YAP creator Carla Cloninger before that.
