Horsham Council Visits the Penrose Strawbridge House

Horsham Council occassionally stops in at the Penrose-Strawbridge House to see how the restoration project is going. Their latest visit was in October 2014 and we were able to show off all the work that has been done on the first floor of the house, and the progress we have made on our document preservation project.

Council had previously visited in September, 2012 for a tour of the property and an update on the restoration project. The tour included a quick look at our organic garden, a trip up the driveway to the newly restored well room, and a tour of the public areas of the main house. We had a number of documents on display including the hand drawn map of Limekiln Pike and a copy of the 1718 Samuel Carpenter Indenture (The original was on display at the Horsham Library at the time of Council's visit.)
